What We Believe

Our Beliefs

We are a New Testament church, also known as the 1st century church in the 21st century. We belong to Christ, seeing as He purchased the church with His own blood. This is why we are called the church of Christ, because we belong to Christ.

Salvation – We believe that we are saved by grace, through faith as taught in scripture. When someone truly has faith that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and they make that confession, then they are baptized into Christ. This mirrors the Gospel of Christ. Just as He died was buried and rose again… so we too die to our old life, are buried in the waters of baptism and rise to a new life in Christ. We can do nothing to earn our salvation through good deeds… we just choose to grab ahold of the hand of grace that God is reaching out to all of mankind.

Worship – We worship from our hearts and sing unaccompanied by instruments. Our worship is first to give glory to God and second to encourage one another.

Unity – We believe in working together as one body. The Church that belongs to Christ is one just as God is one. Just as your body has different parts, all working together to make up you… so too does the Body of Christ have many parts. We all work together using our various talents and skills.

Eternity – Our souls exist for eternity. Our destination after this life is up to us, but it is a choice that will last for eternity.

Jesus – He is the Christ, the Son of the living God. The Way, the Truth and the Life. Jesus is the only way to heaven. Jesus is the author and perfecter of our faith. He is the Living Word. Through Him all things were made. He is the Messiah, Savior, Redeemer and Friend.
