Ladies Ministry

  • Wednesday morning/evening classes – taught by women church members.
  • Home Help – Ladies morning class also coordinates help in the home post surgeries.
  • Homemade Hugs – items taken to those home bound, convalescing at home or in the hospital.
  • Prison Ministry – ladies sharing the gospel with women in jail. Ministry also includes sending cards to inmates.
  • Benevolence – benevolent needs specific to single women
  • World Bible School – exchange lessons with Students, review their multiple choice lesson answers, and encourage and pray for them.
  • Librarian – organizing and administrating our church library resources
  • Kitchen – organizes and administers kitchen resources, setup, and clean up after use including 5th Sunday fellowship meals.
  • Ladies’ Fellowships – typically held monthly on Tuesday evenings for dinner fellowship.
  • Ladies’ Retreats – usually in the spring quarter, the Ladies’ Retreat is often held at a hotel or camp.
  • Mother/Daughter Social – normally held in the spring at the church building.
  • Newcomer Welcome – welcome baskets with various items are given to those who identify with the church.
  • Nursery – church nursery is staffed by volunteers to allow parents a chance to worship.
  • Food for Ill/Funerals – food prepared for funerals and those in need due to illness.
  • Shower Committee – assures that no one is overlooked during the special times (marriage or birth) of their life even if they are new to the church family.
  • Wedding Closet – an organized room with items to be used for special times in a member’s life. This helps our church family to cut expenses for these occasions.
  • 5th Sunday – When there is a 5th Sunday in a month, the congregation follows the following format instead of the traditional format of Bible Classes, Worship, PM Worship. On 5th Sundays the format is: Bible Classes, Worship, Congregational potluck, Devotional, no PM Worship. This ministry focuses on the food portion of the potluck.
  • Monthly Ladies’ Fellowships – Hostesses set the date and menu.  Different hostesses each month.  December fellowship is always an Ornament Exchange.
  • January/February is typically the Ladies’ Retreat, held at a hotel or camp.
  • Mother/Daughter Social is typically in the spring.
  • Corsages and boutonnieres are made at the fellowship prior to Mother’s and Father’s Day and delivered to the residents of Mimosa Manor just prior to the special days.
  • Nursery is staffed by volunteers to allow parents a chance to worship.
  • Cards are made and sent for sympathy, illnesses and special occasions.
  • Rides are provided for the elderly and those in need of a way to get to the doctor etc.
